Guide Couplings should be installed.
1. On the first two or three rods above the bottom hole pump.
2. Intermittently throughout the rod string where wear is indicated on rods or tubing.
3. Where known hole deviation occurs.
4. On the first two or three rods below the stuffing box.

Guide / Coupling Body
Standard guide/coupling bodies are machined from cold rolled steel.

Special Metals
Other metals such as 17-4 PH steel are available on special order to meet some specifications for extra strength and.or corrossion resistance.

Wheels and Roll Pins
Wheels are set on stainless Steel journals and roll pins. Standard wheels, for applications upto 175 degree Farenheit are made of ultra high molecular weight polyethylene.

Replacement Kits
Wheels and roll pins are field replaceable; replacement kits of wheels and roll pins are standard order items.
